Pianist Sun Hwa Park has enjoyed her successful career as a pianist, a pedagogue, and a collaborative artist. Ms. Park has received a first prize from American Protégé International Competition of Romantic Music and Bradshaw and Buono International Competition in the United States, and various competitions in her native South Korea. She has also earned David Garvey, Mary D. Bold Scholarship from University of Texas at Austin and Manhattan School of Music Scholarship for her entire school years. Ms. Park has been given an Honorable Award at her master’s degree graduation and Best Graduate recital Award.

Ms. Park’s concerto appearances have included with Musica Civica Philharmonic in Italy, Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra in U.S.A, Moravian Philharmonic, Plovdiv Philharmonic Orchestra, and Pleven State Philharmonic Orchestra in Bulgaria. Her solo performances have included at venues such as Carnegie Weill Hall, Merkin Hall, Steinway Hall in N.Y, Berlin Philharmonic Hall in Germany, Smetana Hall in Czech, and Seoul Arts Center, Kumho Art Hall, Youngsan Art Hall and Sejong Arts Center in South Korea. Ms. Park has also given collaborative performances in many notable venues and festivals including Tanglewood, Aspen Festival, and Quartet program.

Ms. Park has served as a piano faculty for University of Texas at Austin, Continuing & Innovative Education Department and its pre-college division. As a collaborative artist, Ms. Park has worked for woodwind and string department in Manhattan School of Music, Choral Society, Butler School of Music opera in Texas.

Ms. Park has graduated her bachelor of music in piano performance from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, earned her master’s and doctoral degrees in piano performance from the University of Texas at Austin, and a professional studies certificate of classical accompanying from Manhattan School of Music in the United States.

Ms. Park is currently an adjunct faculty at Chung Ang University and Sejong University in South Korea and a jury member for 2016 Italy Scriabin International Piano Competition. Her Mozart and Grieg Concerto CD recording was released on December, 2015 on Hungary Fidelio Label, followed by release concerts in Italy, Spain and South Korea in 2016-2017 season.
